3.Characteristics:Monel 400 is copper nickel alloy,has good corrosion resistance. It can be corroded by many reducing medium such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Compared with high copper alloys, it is generally more resistant to corrosion than oxidizing medium.In seawater ,it has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking,especially hydrofluoric acid resistance.Monel 400 is with superior resistance to air gases and heat at the elevated temperatures.It is known for its toughness, the alloy of Monel 400 does not tend to embrittlement at low temperatures.It can harden.
